Christian Women's Job Corp. of NW Arkansas

Classes are twice a week in either the mornings or the evenings.  One day is focused on "life skills" training and one day is focused on computer skills that focus on the Microsoft suite and job readiness training.  Projects in the computer class include resume writing, coverletter writing, business letter writing, job searching, powerpoint presentations and budget creation)

Evening Classes

Evening classes are every Monday and Thursday night from 5:30-8:30pm for a 10-12 week semester.  There are 3 semester sessions each year. 

Morning Classes

Morning classes are every Tuesday and Wednesday morning for a 10-12 week semester.  There are 3 semester sessions each year. 

Course work includes:

Week 1 - Orientation and "You Are Specialy, Attitude Matters, Success is an Attitude"

Week 2 - Navigating the computer, Intro to Outlook Emailand "Personality Plus"

Week 3 - Microsoft Outlook Email, Intro to Microsoft Word & Typing and "Interest Inventory, The Importance of Goals"

Week 4 - Microsoft Word: Resumes,Cover Letters and "Managing My Time and Money"

Week 5 - Intro to Microsoft Excel, Entering Data and "Take This Job and Love It, Looking for Jobs in All The Right Places"

Week 6 - Microsoft Excel - Developing a Budget , Job Searching Online and "First Impressions Count, Dress for Success, Acing the Interview"

Week 7 - Introduction to Internetand "Mock Interviews"

Week 8 - Microsoft Powerpoint and "How to Keep the Job, Where Do I Go From Here, valuation & Celebration"

Week 9 - Microsoft Publisher and"How to use Career and Job Accelerator Database"

Week 10 - Finishing Resumes, Cover Letters and Budgets

Week 11 - Filling Out Online Applications

Week 12 - Computer Lab
